Megas' last flight

Description

So few days ago, I found about THIS CONTEST for the Megas XLR debut anniversary. TEN YEARS. Ten years have passed since we first met what would become one of the most famous robots in history: Megas XLR, the Mecha Earth Guard Attack System eXtra Large Robot.
As said in the rules, I chose a moment of one of the 26 episodes and recreated it as entry for the contest. The moment I chose was one of the views of Megas flying in the very last episode, "Rearview Mirror, Mirror, Part 2", where regular Coop fights Evil Coop for last time to settle things in the regular dimension. I would have liked to add the Glorft drones behind Megas, but the only resource I had to create this wasn't enough clear to reproduce them, so I simply let Megas in scene, that one with a giant fist all decided to clash an evil reality bot and its pilot with it. So far, the scene in the episode. And why THIS episode in particular? It's the last thing we saw of our dear series, which "ended" with an epic battle between evil reality forces against our hero allied together with his enemies, with an incredible and unforgetable battle all with explosive background music perfectly accord tothe moment. I got this episode, I watch it everyday, and damn, I just can't get tired of this scene.

Megas XLR may not have so many episodes as much of popular series, but every one is worth as thousands of them. There is no series like this. We may have series with piloted robots, other autopiloted or transformables, series about aliens or monsters, few good ones about videogames or fat food, but no one puts all that together in one single cup and still making it drinkable (sorry, I suck at metaphores). I, like many other fans, hope that we can see our giant blue robot again on screens someday, because rock on and we dig giant robots!

There may really be no series like Megas XLR, but it has at least one which has the very same concept at its core, which is Gurren Lagann (which even has the same number of episodes).
